Who operates this site
This site (https://dannyviasus.com) is operated by Danny Viasus, the author of the books published here, based in Colombia. Contact: hola@dannyviasus.com.
The books are narrative works for educational and entertainment purposes. Nothing published here constitutes financial, legal or tax advice.
What data we process and why
- Email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name: to create your account, send you sign-in links and recognize your purchases.
- Premium-area purchases (book, date, amount, order id): to give you access to the extras and handle refunds.
- Newsletter subscription (email and language): only to tell you about new books. You can unsubscribe by writing to us.
- Minimal first-party analytics: page views, chapters read and Amazon clicks, tied to a random identifier stored in your browser (not to your identity) and to your approximate country. We use no third-party cookies or trackers.
Legal basis: performance of the service you request (account, purchase, newsletter) and our legitimate interest in measuring site usage anonymously.
Cookies
We only use technical cookies: your session cookie when you sign in and one that remembers your language. There are no advertising or third-party cookies.
Who helps us provide the service
- Supabase (database and authentication, servers in the US).
- Vercel (site hosting).
- Resend (transactional email delivery).
- Lemon Squeezy (premium-area payments): acts as merchant of record, collects applicable taxes and handles refunds. Your payment details are processed by Lemon Squeezy; we only receive your email and the order summary.
- Google (only if you choose to sign in with Google).
- Amazon: book purchase links may be affiliate links; if you buy through them we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Retention and security
We keep your account and purchases for as long as you have premium access; analytics events are aggregated and do not identify people. Sign-in uses single-use links that expire after one hour; we store no passwords.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, or unsubscribe from the newsletter, by writing to hola@dannyviasus.com. We reply within 15 business days. If you delete your account you lose access to the extras you bought.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced by email to registered users.
